Smart Carb GF #3 (Gluten Free) (3 Net Carbs)

$ 7.99

Description

Julian Bakery’s Smart Carb GF #3 bread uses a culture similar to yogurt to rise, making it easy to digest and alkaline forming in the stomach. We have added chicory root fiber (Inulin) to help the carbs pass through the body without being digested and extra virgin olive oil which helps lower cholesterol levels.

If you’re Celiac or just looking to rid your diet of gluten, then this is the bread for you! It is specifically formulated for people with Celiac Disease, and people on lean, gluten-free diets who are looking for a good source of protein and fiber.

To make this bread even more amazing, we have added freshly ground flaxseed- an excellent source of all omega-3 essential fatty acids (including alpha-linoleic acids). Omega-3s help balance blood sugar levels, boost metabolism, and control appetite. Flax is known to help keep fats moving, as it emulsifies them in the body and keeps arteries from hardening. Flaxseeds are also known to boost the immune system and relieve inflammation.

One of the main reasons we developed this bread is that every gluten-free bread on the market is made with starch and white rice, which is the same as eating an enormous serving of carbs and sugar. Smart Carb GF #3 bread has no refined starches, just healthful, satisfying whole grain gluten free ingredients!

I love Love LOVE this bread! I order six loaves at a time and freeze it. It’s so worth it. I keep saying I’ll bake my own, but of course I never do. It’s so wonderful that you’re offering more healthy gluten-free breads. Thankyou!

  • Ordello

Has the seeds used to grow the buckwheat and millet been hybridized?

    • http://www.julianbakery.com/ Julian Bakery

The millet and buckwheat are certified organic and NON-GMO,

  • http://www.julianbakery.com/ Julian Bakery

Yes, it freezes great up to three months!

  • Imadilly

Hi, I’ve been cooking GF over a year now, and it is not easy or cheep. But i have learned a few things that might help you to produce an awesome top of the line Healthy Bread… 1) if you replace the Chicory root w/honey, because our bodies can digest honey… 2) Replace the olive oil with coconut oil, because Olive oil turns into unhealthy trans fat when heated… Then I could purchase this bread… thank you GBY

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/G4P7OIW3WDXAKD4GTA55SAZJ3Q Sandra Day

At what point is GF not going to be a money sucking vulture. Seriously? $8? And if its not close to me, that loaf would cost me $14. Lets see, 10% food tax on that is. 80c. That brings this loaf to $8.80. If you were a customer, would you think that cost would be worth it? That has to be a thought in your mind, I’m sure. Right?

    • H_fairy4200

if it tasted good I would totally pay for it. Good GF ingredients are more expensive there for the bread is more expensive. I have tried to make it in my bread maker and it never turns out good. Tons of money wasted.

    • H_fairy4200

and the reason the ingredients are more expensive is that they are not government subsidized like corn and wheat and stuff that is not good for you.

  • Rp1007

I just found out that I’m allergic to wheat and milk. While foraging for food this weekend, I noticed that it costs two to three times as much to buy some foods. Can you explain that–just wondering–and doing without bread.

    • http://www.julianbakery.com/ Julian Bakery

The cost of the ingredients are more expensive.

  • Paula Gayness

Just received the gluten-free equivalent to Ezekiel bread – thank you Julian! I’ll go to both my “healthy” stores with your letter to request they carry the product. Finally can sink my teeth into something Gluten Free that is good and very good for you! Protein – check. Fiber – check. No sugars – check. Balanced carbs – check. Eating healthy – priceless! Paula Gayness

    • Spacyfish

      Paula, What is the equivalent??

      • http://www.julianbakery.com/ Julian Bakery

Paula is saying that our Smart Carb # 3 bread that is gluten free is the equivalent to Ezekiel bread.

Thanks so much! I was looking for a high fiber bread, and this will be great. I have a gluten sensitivity and Diverticulitis, and the doctor advised me to try to take in more fiber. I had been eating a gluten free rice bread, but it only had 1 gram of fiber. Yours will be so much better for me! :)

      • Aaguirre20012001

Hi Steven. My son John tried the Paleo but said it’s too strict but I still wish to try it, especially w/the announcement of the new Julian Paleo Bread coming out in May. Say, can you please offer help for newbies/strugglers on this diet? Thanks.

        • http://www.julianbakery.com/ Julian Bakery

The Paleo Bread will be ideal for you!

  • Allgoodhealth

The nutrition information states 10g of carb. for 1 slice serving for #3, but the bread is titled with (3 net carbs). What’s the definition of net carbs and how does it equate to the Total carb grams. Thanks. Really looking forward to trying this bread.

    • http://www.julianbakery.com/ Julian Bakery

You deduct the fiber from the carbs giving you the net digestible carb amount.

  • Tracey Ladyv

Thank you for offering so many products on your site. I just ordered the zero cookies and Quest bars, along with my GF bread! My question is: will you be coming out with wraps? Thank you in advance!

  • Nancee Delich

This might be a silly question, because most bread has yeast in it…but, I have found that I need to also be “yeast” & gluten free…any options here??? Hoping so, as I want to also order some of the “zero” cookies. AND, thank you for the Quest Protein Bars…they are the BEST!!!

    • http://www.julianbakery.com/ Julian Bakery

Then the Smart Carb # 3 is perfect as it’s low carb, gluten free and yeast free!!

      • Nancee Delich

Thanks! Have ordered along with some of the Zero cookies! Can hardly wait!!

  • Ronnie Ferguson

I just want to take the time out to thank you whole heartedly for your bakery. My son suffers from Crohn’s Disease (diagnosed at 15 yrs. old) and we have found that Gluten free products don’t irritate his Crohn’s. GOD Bless your company and may you continue to be prosperous in finances, health and happiness! Thank you & GOD Bless! Ronnie F.

With the round breads we offer we don’t slice them to allow our customers to slice it the thickness they prefer. If you cut them approx 1/4 inch you will get 16 to 18 slices.

Sounds good…you are absolutely right, most gf baked products on the market are full of starch. Nice to see something with more substance.

  • Susan

I need to know the ingredients because we have allergies to corn and potatoes and other things…

    • Anonymous

  • http://www.drellegee.com Dr. Elle

I love this bread! Makes great toast. I’m extremely sensitive to any gluten/wheat products and can tell if there is even a minute bit of gluten in a product, as with many that claim to be gluten/wheat free… but not with this bread. It is fantastic. The Purity Bread is also great.

  • Bea Mitrosky

I have tried so many breads since being diagnosed with Celiac, and I am liking the sound of this one. I am ordering ONE loaf, because as you know, GF foods are very expensive, and when you have to throw them out because they don’t live up to the hype, which happens occasionally, it is like throwing money away.

    • Dpolakow

Don’t throw those unwanted loaves of bread away. Cut the bread into cubes and spread them out on a cookie sheet, then spread them with melted butter, garlic, and seasoning of your choice. Pop them into the oven at 350 degrees until they just start to brown (different breads will require longer baking. Enjoy!!!
